I have a question about what you said concerning Deuteronomy 24:1-4. You said that Yehovah could not remarry Israel after divorcing her according to Deuteronomy 24:1-4. I can’t find in scripture where Israel remarried. I see that she committed adultery and I see the prophets begging Israel to return to Yehovah. Why would he send the prophets to try and get Israel to return to Him if He could not take them back? Also if he came and died so he could annul the marriage covenant and take Israel back does His death also annul all the other covenants he made? thewaybiblicalfellowship 19/02/2017 at 10:10 pm / Reply YHVH sent prophets to tell Israel to repent but they didn’t and He gave them a bill of divorce in Jeremiah: Jeremiah 3:8 8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also. After that the prophets were sent to Judah who also didn’t repent and were cut off (Romans 11:23-25). Israel went after many other gods after they were divorced. His death doesn’t annul the covenant, it doesn’t say that. It just means that the bride is not under the law of her husband so that she can remarry the risen Saviour.
